RELISH Your Mornings with Daphne Oz’s Fudgy Chocolate Banana Flax Muffins

Muffins have been getting a bad rap lately as junk food bombs disguising themselves as breakfast food (perhaps that’s because they usually are full of sugar and fat). Here to save the day and give us the chance to relish our muffins once again is Daphne Oz, co-host of ABC’s The Chew and author of The Dorm Room Diet and her new book, Relish.

Relish is full of delicious and mostly-healthy recipes (and lots of lifestyle tips, from how to apply make-up to how to arrange a congenial living room). Daphne wants to help us all start enjoying today, to start getting the most out of our lives right now, rather than waiting for five years from now when we may or may not have moved into our dream home/nabbed the perfect job/found our soul mate/lost those last 10 pounds/etc. The recipes and tips in Relish will  help us on our way to an adventure in food, style and everyday fun–and who doesn’t want that?     made these tonight, exactly as the recipe stated, and they are so good! Light and fluffy and moist. My daughter loved them too!

    When I make these I will use whole grain GF flour and replace the wheat germ with ground Flax seed and reduce the sugar by half due to the sugar in the choc chips….
